Life can get busy and you've got enough on your plate. Sometimes things happen when the doctor's office is closed, and you shouldn't have to be a medical expert to take care of your child. At Pirate Pediatrics, we get it.
With our convenient choices of early morning walk-in, same day appointments and virtual visits, we'll make sure your child's health and well-being are well taken care of.
Over the years, I've spoken with families who express frustration with their healthcare experience. They describe feeling rushed, unheard, and like a name on a list.
When I first started my career, I felt the same. I became a doctor because I wanted to help families, to genuinely know them, and to be there for them when they needed it most.
I dreamed of providing healthcare where parents could feel heard, valued, and supported. In my first job, it was tough to hear I would not know my patients’ names. But it didn't have to be that way! After praying and talking with some wise people, I decided to create a special kind of healthcare just for families like yours.
We’re here to walk alongside you on this journey. You are not alone.
We're problem solvers; we won't stop until we find the answers.
We partner with you to ensure your child gets the best care possible.
We believe in being honest and trustworthy in all we do.
We offer choices so you can focus on what matters. Whether it's a same-day visit, a scheduled appointment, in-person or online, it's up to you.
Our values guide us in caring for your children and supporting you as parents:

SPECIAL MEDICAL INTERESTS
Hi, there! I’m Dr. Morgan; a mother, a wife, a pediatrician, and an entrepreneur. After working in other pediatric settings, I opened the doors to Pirate Pediatrics in 2012 to provide a one-of-a-kind patient experience where families like you feel heard, valued and are taken care of with compassion and superb quality.
Let’s face it…life is hard. I had a baby and instantly my world changed. I realized this tiny human was now completely dependent upon me. To start, breastfeeding was challenging, but with persistence it became the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Spoiler alert…it is not like the magazines portray on day one. Many things are like this, but know you are not alone out there. My mission is to help you navigate parenthood and to empower you to become the parent you have always dreamed.
When I am not working with families, you may find me learning Spanish, reading, gardening, eating fish tacos or jumping in the waves at the beach with my family.
“Being a pediatrician is the best! Supporting families and holding miracles has exceeded my wildest dreams. Thank you for trusting me to care for your children and for blessing me with incredible relationships over the years!”

SPECIAL MEDICAL INTERESTS
Prior to joining Pirate Pediatrics in 2013, I worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner in Georgia. I enjoy collaborating with patients and families to develop short and long-term treatment plans.
Living in Eastern North Carolina, I discovered a love of the water. I spend my spare time with my husband and two daughters, reading, at the beach or watching Alabama football.
“I have always loved working with kids. I worked in the church nursery and helped at Bible School as a teenager. While in college, I volunteered in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Georgia Baptist Hospital rocking and feeding babies. After that experience, I knew I wanted to work with children.”

Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) in the state of North Carolina.
I specialize in working with children and adolescents with a history of trauma and various behavioral challenges. My passion is serving diverse individuals and families with unique needs. I knew by the age of thirteen years old that I wanted to serve children and families in some capacity. I attribute this to my younger brother who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) when he was three years old. He has been my greatest inspiration and guided my passion to serve children and families.
During my spare time, you can find me spending time with my family. One of my greatest joys is spending time with my husband and two daughters. I love baking, cooking, and experimenting in the kitchen.
" I have dedicated my professional career to working with children, adolescents, and families by providing comprehensive mental health counseling services."
